Based in The Netherlands, Startmile is a marketing agency primarily focused on giving services to startups and empowering small businesses in their first mile to the market. Their offerings are effective marketing strategies, promotion, and branding.

The digital marketing landscape thrives on innovation and authenticity, constantly adapting to the rapid pace of technological advancements. This in turn fosters the creation of connections and loyal customers. This is why Startmile approached us for their new brand identity.

Differentiation

Through a collaborative approach, we partnered with Startmile to define their brand's core identity. By engaging with Startmile's vision of empowering startups and small businesses, we developed a brand strategy positioning them as the essential partner for market entry success. This strategy emphasizes their focus on personalized marketing solutions and interactive online experiences that build consumer loyalty. Our work reflects Startmile's mission by highlighting their role in crafting innovative strategies for startup success.

The color palette was carefully sourced to strengthen the brand's message and values. There are mainly cold tones with a pop of bright red. It was inspired by the modern technologies Startmile implements in their services and their passion for marketing.

 

With the help of the color palette, Startmile communicates professionalism, modernity, transparency, flexibility, openness, adaptability, and more.

The idea behind the choice of the font for the logo was to have something that represents the first mile or the road of startups and their journey to the market. It had to be simple, yet leave a lasting impression. For this goal, I chose the font "Solid Surge". It was further customized to fit the brand and the main idea behind it.

The supporting text fonts had to go well with the logo and keep up with the brand's simplicity. This ensures that the text would always be readable among different mediums. I opted for "Urbanist" and "Work Sans" as the combination for titles and body text respectively.

The assets for the brand are in the style of the logo - linear and very simple. They consist of lines and are in the form of different shapes (circle, square, triangle). Visually each asset is created to represent a specific concept. They fit with Startmile, and the services they bring to the table for their customers, and help to further strengthen them and the supporting text.
